Cookie policy
How we use cookies and similar technologies on this website.
This policy explains how Your Brighton Holiday Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage on this website and any related booking or management pages. It should be read alongside our privacy policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies, including browser local storage and session storage, work in the same way by saving small amounts of information in your browser. We refer to all of these as cookies below.
How we use them
- Strictly necessary: keeping the site secure, remembering your consent choices and allowing pages to load correctly. These cannot be switched off.
- Booking and enquiry: remembering the dates, guest numbers and property you were looking at so your search and booking request are not lost as you move between pages.
- Account and administration: signing owners and staff in to the management area and keeping that session active.
- Preferences: remembering small choices such as dismissed notices or display settings.
- Analytics: if enabled, helping us understand which pages are visited so we can improve the site. These are only set with your consent.
Third-party cookies
Some features are provided by other companies, which may set their own cookies when the feature is used:
- Our hosting and backend provider, for security, sessions and service reliability.
- Map tiles and open larger map links, which may set cookies from the map provider.
- Google, if you click through to view our Google reviews, and Airbnb or Booking.com if you follow links to our listings there.
- Any payment provider used at checkout, for fraud prevention and processing.
We do not control third-party cookies. Please see the relevant provider's own cookie notice for details.
How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period — typically from a few days for search preferences up to around twelve months for consent and analytics cookies.
Managing cookies
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies when you first visit, and change your mind at any time by clearing your browser data for this site. All major browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site — including sign-in and booking — from working.
Your rights
Where cookies collect personal data, you have rights under UK data protection law, including the right to access, correct or delete that data. Our privacy policy explains these rights in full.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the site develops; the latest version will always appear on this page. If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us through the contact page.
